Shire of Goomalling

Toy library

The Goomalling Toy Library works like a book library, except children borrow toys, games, and puzzles. All of the toys are of good quality and are carefully selected to provide entertainment and educational benefits to enrich the daily play of children from birth to seven years old.

The library is a voluntary organisation run by parents. The initial purchase of toys was funded by Lotteries WA in 2003 and further toys are purchased through fundraising and membership fees. New members are always welcome.

Open

9.30-10.30am Fridays (during school terms) to coincide with Better Beginnings Storytime.

Cost

There is an annual membership fee payable in advance.
• $45 for a single child membership
• $55 for a family membership
• $25 for a casual membership with limited borrowing; perfect for people who have grandchildren visiting.

Borrowing and returning toys

Each child may borrow two toys and two puzzles at any one time. The lending period is a maximum of two weeks.
