Voter Turnout was 30.8% which was on the low side of the historical State average.
Congratulations to those who were elected and commiserations to the unsuccessful candidates. Thanks to James Trahair for standing up as a first time candidate and sincere thanks for their service as Councillors to Joe Bowen and particularly to Kevin Ryan who held the position of Councillor for 32 Years. His time on Council has been significant and his other contributions to the community through various community positions and committees has also been outstanding. We wish them well in the next phase of their journey.
For the new Councillors (elect) their journey will start late this week or early next week where we will have a special meeting to swear them in and to elect a Shire President.
Once again, congratulations to all concerned and I look forward to working with our newly elected Councillors for the next 2 years.
