A position exists for a person to undertake the duties of Roller Operator for the Public Works and Services Department at the Shire of Goomalling

Shire of Goomalling wishes to advise the community that the Goomalling Fire Brigade will be undertaking a controlled burn this afternoon, 12 October 2026, from 5pm at the vacant land between Peartree Drive and Williams Street.

Weather conditions permitting, mosquito fogging will be carried out on Tuesday and Thursday evenings approximately between 4.30 and 6.30 pm. All residents are advised to keep windows and doors closed while fogging is taking place. Please keep clear of mist

Telstra will be upgrading its mobile base station that services Goomalling to bring a better 4G and 5G user experience. Mobile services in the area will be temporarily disrupted while the upgrade works are underway. Upgrade works will commence on site from Monday 12 October for a period of 6 days.

As of the 1st of October 2026, The Shire of Goomalling has entered into the Restricted Burning Period. Buring Permits will be required

BreastScreen WA's Free screening mammogram service is coming to Goomalling From the 28/01/2026 to 04/11/2026 and the mobile clinic will be located at the Goomalling District Hospital, Forrest Street

Eligible children aged 5 to 18 years in Western Australia can receive up to $300 per financial year to cover the costs of joining any approved KidSport club.

A position exists for a person to undertake the duties of Coordinator for the Local Action Group - Skeleton Weed Yilgarn. The successful person will be required to work as part of a team for the Local Action Group - Skeleton Weed Yilgarn, and in partnership with Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development staff and other associated parties to provide a clerical/co-ordination role, to assist landholders to meet their responsibilities in controlling skeleton weed on their properties. EOI's are invited from interested and suitably qualified and experienced persons to be appointed as an independent Deputy of the Presiding Member for the ARIC
