Activate Goomalling Grant Program Round 6

We've been investing in local projects since 2006. We currently offer grants twice yearly with $8,000 contributed annually. So far in 2024 we've donated $16,693.70

This program aims to deliver partnerships that will support heritage in Western Australia. Status: Program is open for applications for the FY 2024-25 until 30 June 2025

This program aims to provide funding support to Western Australian producers for feature length documentary films, factual one-offs, and series with significant marketplace attachments. Status; Program is open for applications until 9 September 2024

This programme aims to provide direct financial assistance to address the health and wellbeing of the shed members within the shed environment, support health education for shed members, deliver appropriate activities and programmes, and improve facilities and the sustainability of men's sheds across Australia. Status; Program is open for applications.

This program aims to offer small business interest rate subsidies for new loans taken out by the small business for the purposes of repairing damaged assets or business carry on costs incurred as a direct result of an eligible disaster.

This program aims to support an event, activity, individual or organisation through the provision of money, goods or services. Status; Program is open for applications until 31 December 2024.

This program aims to support people of all experience levels, whether they are trying out agriculture for the first time or looking to forge ahead in their farming journey by developing professional skills and networks. Status: Program is now open for applications - Close Sep 29, 2024

In October 2025 the National Ceramics Triennial will be held in Western Australia. This is also an opportunistic time when the Grain Domes of Goomalling are empty of grain and accessible. This coincidence provides unique opportunity to invite the international ceramics community to join the people of Goomalling along with a team of internationally recognised interdisciplinary artists as we transform the surface and internal spaces of the Goomalling Grain Silos into a gigantic storytelling device.

Great news! KidSport has increased from $300 to $500 per eligible child per financial year!  The program provides financial assistance to families to ensure all kids have the opportunity to participate in sport, remain physically active and build long lasting friendships. 

Six Wheatbelt shires will receive funding through Stream 1 of the Commonwealth Government's $500M Housing Support Program. Congratulations to the Shire of Victoria Plains, Moora, Dandaragan, Toodyay, Goomalling and West Arthur who will share in $877,065 to support the future delivery of affordable housing in the region. This vital funding will help bridge a long-standing gap in regional planning capacity, enabling progress on priority housing projects. The Wheatbelt Development Commission remains committed to partnering with local governments to facilitate housing solutions that meet community and workforce needs.

In partnership with Cooperative Bulk Handling (CBH) and Avon Regional Organisation of Councils (AROC), Wheatbelt NRM has initiated a three-year project to explore management options for corellas in the central Wheatbelt area.

The Shire of Goomalling is looking for expressions of interest from entities to run, manage and promote historic Slater Homestead. The Slater Homestead has in the past been successfully utilized to hold extensive functions including weddings, birthday parties, corporate team building events, wake gatherings and school end of year parties. The asset provides and accommodates a bespoke experience that delivers a worthy memorable occasion for all.

If you own a dog, you must collect and remove all droppings that they leave in a public place such as a park, on a footpath or a dog exercise area, including the Goomalling Recreation Ground. Dog poo is offensive to others walking and enjoying our public, open spaces; and it can cause health issues, such as spreading disease and infections to other dogs.
