The Shire of Goomalling will be hosting an in-person Q and A session for candidates with the Returning Officer, Susan Dew ahead of nominations opening on the 28th August 2025.
Returning Officers are appointed by the Electoral Commission to conduct an election for a particular district or whole of State electorate. They are responsible for candidate nominations, management of polling places and polling place staff, and supervising the election in their district on polling days.
All elections conducted by the Electoral Commission will have an appointed Returning Officer, including local government elections.
