2026 Telstra Connected Communities Grant - Closing soon

The 2026 Telstra Connected Communities Grant Program closes at 5pm, Thursday 26th March, and we’re reminding eligible not‑for‑profit organisations across remote, rural and regional Australia to submit their applications before the deadline.

Delivered in partnership with the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR), the program is part of Telstra’s long term commitment to strengthening community connection, resilience and inclusion. Over five years, $1 million will be invested to support locally led ideas that make a real difference where people live and work.

What’s available?

Grants of up to $10,000 are available to eligible not for profit organisations to support projects that help build strong, connected and future ready communities.

Whether you’re starting something new or growing an existing initiative, funding can help scale your impact and support more people across rural and regional Australia.

Projects should align with one or more of the program’s three key themes:

  • Resilient communities – strengthening social connections and preparedness, so communities can recover and renew together when challenges or disasters occur
    • Sustainable communities – supporting inclusive, diverse communities through initiatives that enhance health, wellbeing and long term prosperity for people and planet
    • Liveable communities – building digital capability so people have the skills and confidence to live, learn and work in an increasingly digital world

Know a group that could benefit?

If you know a community group or not for profit that could use a helping hand, please share this opportunity with them. The Connected Communities Grant Program is designed to back grassroots ideas and local leadership.
