Discover the Avon Valley - a great place to visit - a short drive east of Perth

The Avon Valley won the award for the Best Tourism Display at the 2019 Perth Caravan & Camping Show. This was a great result for the region and after over a decade of exhibiting at the Show, a very exciting one.

Avon Tourism expanded their site this year, allowing representatives from participating towns to interact directly with visitors, highlighting the many attractions and events the Valley has on offer.

Over 47,000 visitors attended the show over the five days, with genuine interest shown in the Avon Valley. The regional brochure was well received, with consumers appreciating that information on all the towns being under one cover. The regional brochure "Discover the Avon valley" covers the local towns of Beverly, Chittering, Goomalling, Northam, Victoria Plains and York. 

It was nice to hear that for some, interest in the ‘amazing’ South West is waning, and they are looking for new places to visit closer to Perth, with the proximity of the Avon Valley proving a winner. The idea of a short drive from Perth, whether it be for a weekend away or a day trip appeals to many, especially with the myriad of events and trails available for visitors to enjoy and explore.
