Council Supports Local Children with Donation to Special Children’s Big Day Out

Council has proudly contributed $600 to enable six local children under the care of Perth Children’s Hospital to attend the Lions Cancer Institute’s Special Children’s Big Day Out.

The annual event provides a joyful and uplifting experience for children facing serious illness, giving them a rare opportunity to enjoy a carefree day filled with excitement and entertainment. This year’s program includes a private movie screening, show bags, refreshments, presents, and a range of special treats designed to create lasting memories.

Council’s support reflects its ongoing commitment to community wellbeing and to organisations that make a meaningful difference in the lives of local families.

Cr Chester, Shire President said the donation is “a small gesture that brings a big impact, helping brighten the day of children who deserve every moment of joy.”

The Lions Cancer Institute continues to deliver vital support to children and families across Western Australia, and Council acknowledges the organisation’s dedication and compassion.
