It’s that time of year again- the 2026 Waterwise Recognition Event is happening this May! We’re looking forward to celebrating our Waterwise Program Participants.
This year we will have two Individual Champion Awards so please nominate your waterwise colleagues now:
Individual Champion- Waterwise Action Award
This award recognises professionals delivering practical, measurable waterwise outcomes in the field. It acknowledges individuals whose day to day work, whether through maintenance, operations, sustainability project delivery, or community interaction, results in real water savings, improved practices, and has a visible impact. These nominees demonstrate waterwise behaviours in action!

Individual Champion- Waterwise Leadership Award
This award recognises strategic leaders who have shaped the long‑term direction of water efficiency within local government. It celebrates individuals who challenge the status quo through innovative strategy, policy development, technology adoption, or organisational change. Their work influences systems‑level improvement, strengthens waterwise culture, and elevates Water Corporation programs across their organisation.

Please consider nominating any individuals in your organisation that you feel should be celebrated for their contribution to a waterwise culture, and please share this email with any relevant teams. See the nomination forms attached for more information.
By nominating a Waterwise Champion, you are recognising someone’s hard work and inspire others to join the cause for a bluer, greener future. Check out last years winners for inspiration.
Submissions are due Tuesday 24 March 2026, please send the nomination form and any additional documents to wepartnerships@watercorporation.com.au with the subject line ATTN: Individual Champion Nomination.
Finalists will be invited the Waterwise Recognition Breakfast on Wednesday 6 May 2026, where the winner will be announced.
