#Goomatown Sundowner - Thank a Volunteer Day
On Thursday 7 February 2019, Council acknowledged individuals who volunteer with Council and community groups across the district for their invaluable contribution to the liveability of Goomalling.
Our Congratulations also go out to Sue Carr who received a life membership to St John Ambulance after more than 29 years’ service to the Goomalling Sub-centre.
Fifty-six community groups were celebrated at the ceremony ranging from lifesaving services like the St John Ambulance to recreation clubs (listed below).
Volunteers received free supper, a few beverages and a memento pen supported by Department of Communities.
